Linking Soil Bacterial Communities to Soil Aggregates after Afforestation in a Karst Rocky Desertification Region

چکیده
Afforestation influences soil aggregates and the microenvironment, it also affects bacterial communities. However, interactions between aggregation, properties, community that occur following afforestation are still unclear rarely studied in karst ecosystems. Soil samples were collected from cropland, for reference, natural secondary forests managed a rocky desertification region of Southwest China. isolated using wet-sieving method, composition was determined high-throughput 16S rRNA sequencing. promoted significant macro-aggregation (p < 0.05) increased organic carbon (38%), nitrogen (35.4%), exchangeable Ca (78.6%), water contents (4.1%) but decreased pH bulk density. The changes these properties had marked effects on abundance community. Variation-partitioning analysis showed that, together, characteristics explained 23.4% variation community, their interaction formed largest contribution (14.6%). Overall, our findings suggest both may shift communities by promoting altering properties.

Soil Bacterial Community Structure and Co-occurrence Pattern during Vegetation Restoration in Karst Rocky Desertification Area
Vegetation restoration has been widely used in karst rocky desertification (KRD) areas of southwestern China, but the response of microbial community to revegetation has not been well characterized. We investigated the diversity, structure, and co-occurrence patterns of bacterial communities in soils of five vegetation types (grassland, shrubbery, secondary forest, pure plantation and mixed pla...

In the present paper, we investigated the effects of afforestation on nitrogen fractions and microbial communities. A total of 24 soil samples were collected from farmland (FL) and three afforested lands, namely Robinia pseudoacacia L (RP), Caragana korshinskii Kom (CK), and abandoned land (AL), which have been arable for the past 40 years. Quantitative PCR and Illumina sequencing of 16S rRNA g...
متن کاملA Brief Analysis of Biological Soil Crust in the Management of Rocky Desertification
Karst rocky desertification is a geo-ecological problem in Southwest China because of nature and man-made factors, which restricts the development of local economic and social. Soil and water erosion is one of the most harmful form of rocky desertification, but the management methods still keep in the exploratory stage. Biological soil crust is the organic complexes of biotic components includi...

This study provides the first maps of variations in bacterial community structure on a broad scale based on genotyping of DNA extracts from 593 soils from four different regions of France (North, Brittany, South-East and Landes). Soils were obtained from the soil library of RMQS ('Réseau de Mesures de la Qualité des Sols' = French soil quality monitoring network). The relevance of a biogeograph...
متن کاملThe Relationship between pH and Bacterial Communities in a Single Karst Ecosystem and Its Implication for Soil Acidification
Enhanced monsoon duration and soil acidification from acid rain are expected to impact the distribution of microbial communities in surface and subsurface environments, although these impacts are poorly understood for most systems. In central China, soluble carbonate bedrock forms extensive karst landscapes. Current predictions are that the amount of monsoonal precipitation and acid rainfall in...
